Eligibility

Individual membership is open to all persons interested in religious librarianship regardless of professional specialization.

Student membership is available to those enrolled at least half-time in the graduate study of religion or library science. A person engaged in full-time employment in a library or elsewhere is not eligible to apply for student membership in the Association.

Benefits

Student and Individual Members receive the same benefits listed below. In addition, Individual Members have the right to vote. Benefits fall into the categories of professional collaboration and development and member publications.

Discounted rates for ATLA professional development offerings, including the Annual Conference
Interest Groups
Nine groups interested in specialized fields of theological librarianship
NACO and CONSER Funnel Projects
National programs coordinated by the Library of Congress

Member Publications

ATLA's membership year is September 1-August 31. If you join mid-year, your membership will be retroactive to September 1, and you will receive all publications for that membership year.

Newsletter
The primary source of information about ATLA activities and membership news. All members have access to an electronic version of the ATLA Newsletter.

Dues

Individual membership dues are based on your current gross annual income. Student membership dues are equal to the lowest established amount for individual members. This amount is $15.00.
